Immerse yourself in the study of Ohashiatsu at Dai Bosatsu Zendo, a Zen Buddhist monastery in the Catskill Mountains.
July 10 - 17, 2010
“For me, Zendo is where Ohashiatsu meets Zen.
It opened my heart into my hands.”
~ Vincent, Graduate. ~
Ohashi’s Beginning I, Intermediate I and Advanced I students can spend 8 days studying Ohashiatsu, and meditating daily in the monastery, swimming and rowing in the lake and eating delicious vegetarian meals served and eaten in silence in traditional Zen fashion. The last night at the Zendo is “talent night”, a truly hilarious evening, where even the monks join in with mini-plays and songs.
Dai Bosatsu Zendo is situated on a large estate, near Livingston Manor, New York, with a pristine lake and abundant wildlife. The Ohashi Institute has held classes there every summer during July for for more than 20 years.
In this spiritually refreshing atmosphere you will have the opportunity to study Ohashiatsu, to meditate daily in the monastery, to swim and row in the lake, and to eat delicious vegetarian meals served and eaten in silence in traditional Zen fashion.
Ohashiatsu classes and practice classes are offered during the day, with lectures and free time in the evenings. To enhance your learning experience, private sessions and tutorials are available. Twice each day you are invited to attend morning and evening mediation with the residents of Dai Bosatsu Zendo.
With respect for the environment, class size is limited at the Zendo and these classes fill up very quickly. Don’t miss this chance for this unique holistic, spiritual Ohashiatsu experience ~ reserve your space now!
