Working at the Ohashi Institute is a wonderful opportunity to apply what you have been learning and practicing in class. Some of your work may seem routine, but all of it contributes to the work of the Institute.
Benefits
You’ll learn more about the Institute, the curriculum and private sessions, deepening your understanding of Ohashiatsu and Eastern philosophy.
You’ll earn credit for part or all of your tuition.
You’ll make new friends.
Work/Study Positions
In Zen thinking, the end result is of little importance. What happens while performing a given task is what matters.
Front Desk – here you are the “face” and “voice” of the Ohashi Institute. You’ll greet students, clients and instructors -- in person and over the phone; take registrations and book private session appointments. Any work, even the most humble work can lead to the goal.
Cleaning – this may seem like a menial position, but the cleanliness of the Institute is vital to our serene atmosphere and comfortable learning environment. Even Ohashi washes tea cups – he thinks of it as meditation. This position also offers more flexible hours than the Front Desk.
Special Projects -- we always need people to help with special projects, like flier distribution, assisting the staff at the free introductory workshops, repairs at the Institute. In addition, we can always use those skilled in fundraising or helping us keep our website fresh and new. If you have a special skill you’d like to contribute to the Institute, let us know.
“The more aware you are of your strengths, the more easily you can choose to go in the direction of your talents and happiness.”
