Paula Derry began studying at Ohashiatsu® Maryland in 2006 and graduated in 2008. She is a Ph.D. health psychologist with a long-standing interest in development during adulthood, especially in people feeling centered, empowered, embodied, able to move forward in their lives, safe, and able to manage stress. Much of her work has involved looking at how professionals and their clients think about health issues, with an aim of creating positive ways of thinking. She sees being a COC, attending to the body and spirit, as an important component of work as a holistic health consultant. Many of the people she works with tell her that her hands are both powerful and nurturing, which energize and uplift.
