At the Ohashi institute, you can choose how much you want to study. You can take one or two courses or continue through the entire curriculum and on to postgraduate training. It’s up to you.
And, we offer a variety of formats to fit anyone’s busy schedule. You can savor a 10-week course, or immerse yourself in a 2-weekend or 5-day intensive. Even travel to one of our special retreats at a Zen Buddhist Monastery, or on a beach in Bali or Brazil. And you can emphasize your training with special one- or two-day workshops.
Courses are taught the same way whether you’re in New York City or at any one of our affiliates in the US, Europe and South America.
The Experience
The focus of courses is on experiential learning: taking the information into the body and experiencing the techniques and concepts in yourself and others. Course meditations and exercises help you experience lecture and theory in your self, while hands-on practice enables your body to learn the techniques as well as your mind.
The learning environment is relaxed and non-judgmental, so you can find a safe place for your experience. Adding a bit of fun to coursework strengthens the lessons. And, as we learn about ourselves and others, we find humor in everyday life.
Adding Dimension
As you continue through the curriculum, you’ll find that each successive course builds carefully upon what you’ve already learned, adding new material that you can immediately begin to use in your life. You may also join our Internship Program during your advanced courses, strengthening your techniques and theory and applying it to actual client work.
