One Man’s Journey
– from Hiroshima to New York
OHASHI, world-renowned teacher and founder of the Ohashi Institute, is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of his journey to America. The celebration will be on March 20, 10am to 6pm at the Ohashi Institute, 147 West 25th Street (between 7th and 6th Aves), New York, NY.
From 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Ohashi will talk about his early childhood and his early interest in Eastern healing methods to which he credits his survival from the illnesses associated with war and starvation. Ohashi’s name means “big bridge”, which is appropriate as he has traveled from one end of the world to another and has tried to bridge the philosophies and healing methods from East and West.
Plus, Ohashi will give a free workshop on Ohashiatsu®. This fun, interactive workshop will explore the philosophies behind Ohashiatsu, including how “doing nothing” can be more beneficial and effective than “doing something.” Ohashi will teach you how to give hands-on, healing touch and how to improve your health at the same time.
From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, Ohashiatsu practitioners will be offering private sessions of one hour for only $50 (normally $85). This is a rare opportunity to experience this superior form of bodywork at a below-market fee. Ohashi will also provide a limited number of private sessions for $100 — less than half of his normal fee. Reservations are recommended, but you may also walk in without calling in advance.
For more information on this special day, or to reserve your space, contact the Ohashi Institute. 800-810-4190 or 646-486-1187
