Dai Bosatsu Zendo

is a Zen Buddhist monastery located in the Catskill Mountains near Livingston Manor, New York. The Ohashi Institute has held classes there every summer during July for 22 years. The monastery is set amidst a maple forrest and large estate with a lake and many wild animals and birds.

In this spiritually refreshing atmosphere you will have the opportunity to study Ohashiatsu, to meditate daily in the monastery, to swim and row in the lake, and to eat delicious vegetarian meals served and eaten in silence in traditional Zen fashion.

Ohashiatsu classes and practice classes are offered during the day, with lectures and free time in the evenings. To enhance your learning experience, private sessions and tutorials are available. Twice each day you are invited to attend morning and evening mediation with the residents of Dai Bosatsu Zendo
