What is
Ohashiatsu®?

Ohashiatsu is a therapeutic method based on touch, exercise and self-improvement, developed by Ohashi after years of practice, teaching and observing human nature. When you study Ohashiatsu you learn to use exercise, movement, meditation and meridian theory to distress and strengthen your mind and body. Your Ki energy will be energized and regenerated. The course work offers you what hatha yoga offers: movement, flexibility and endurance. It offers what Pilate exercise offers: strength building and better posture. All add up to a more balanced life and better health for you while you learn a healing therapy.

The Five Principles of Ohashiatsu
• Just Be There, Don't Press
• Use Both Hands; Make a Connection
• Be Continuous
• Be Natural
• Be Reverent

An important attribute of Ohashiatsu and other bodywork modalities: Ohashiatsu maintains and improves the giver's posture, movement and well-being. When you give Ohashiatsu, you are energized and rejuvenated because of the way your body moves, because you are enhancing your Ki (life essence) energy, and because you are meditating while you are working.

Ohashiatsu combines hands-on touch techniques, limb rotation, stretches, and meditations in a seamless flow of movement. Ohashiatsu is an energizing dance. When the giver is relaxed and enjoys, the receiver is relaxed and benefits. When you as the giver communicate your enjoyment and attitude about life to the receiver, the receiver will use your example to become healthier and happier in the future.
