Born in Poland in 1961, Tom Augustyniak received his Masters in Physical Education in Wroclaw, Poland in 1985. In 1997 he moved to the United States. In 1999 Tom graduated with honors from Helma Institute of Massage Therapy. A Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and a member of the ABMP, Tom began teaching shiatsu and Swedish Massage at Helma Institute. He entered the Ohashiatsu® program at the Ohashi Institute and graduated in 2003. For over 25 years Tom has been practicing Judo, receiving the rank of 3rd degree black belt and 8 medals in National Championships of Poland and the US. Years of teaching and coaching have given Tom a very deep understanding of the human body and enhanced his ability to transmit that knowledge to his students. Besides teaching, Tom practices Ohashiatsu® at his private office Zen Massage Center in Paramus, NJ.
