Pamela Hannay
In Memoriam 1949-2001
Pamela Hannay, Senior Certified Ohashiatsu® Instructor, began teaching the Ohashiatsu® curriculum in the United States and Europe in 1977. Pamela expanded her Oriental healing knowledge beyond humans and worked to heal horses for more than 10 years with techniques she developed. She was the author of Touching Horses: Health, Healing Communication Through Shiatsu, Shiatsu for Dogs, Shiatsu with Horses, Shiatsu Therapy for Horses: Know Your Horse and Yourself Better Through Shiatsu and Shiatsu Exercises for Horse & Rider: Three Part Harmony. Our beloved instructor, Pamela Hannay, died in December 2001 after bravely fighting cancer for two years. Pamela was a longtime member of the world-wide Ohashiatsu family and taught hundreds of students over many years. But she was more than an instructor to our many students, other instructors, and staff -- she was a friend and source of inspiration and joy. The Pamela Hannay Scholarship Fund has been established at the Ohashi Institute. Your tax-deductible donation will help graduates enter the Institute's postgraduate training program to spread our motto, Touch for Peace.
